DHR Life Science eSeminar: Accelerating mRNA research and manufacturing
Benefits of High pH in Liquid Chromatography
With various speakers from the Danaher life science platform
With Namrata Saxena
Technical Manager, Phenomenex Australia
Summary:
Like you, we know that therapies based on messenger RNA, such as mRNA vaccines, have revolutionary potential. mRNA-based therapies offer precise and individualized therapy. They avoid manufacturing issues associated with recombinant proteins. And, compared with current therapeutics, mRNA is more cost-effective, faster, and flexible to produce.

In this eSeminar, Danaher hosts multiple partner companies who share Solutions for large-scale production of mRNA-based molecules to help you address some of these challenges.
Key Learning Points:
  • A brief introduction on pH
  • When high pH is beneficial
  • Stationary phase requirements when working with high pH
  • Examples

Our Speakers

Dr. Brad Patterson
Manager, Applications Support, SCIEX Australia/New Zealand
Namrata Saxena
Technical Manager, Phenomenex Australia
Dr. Jason Anspach
HPLC Product Manager, Phenomenex US Headquarter
Dr. Rajesh Babu Dandamudi
Technical Manager, Phenomenex
Brad Patterson obtained his Ph.D. in Chemistry at James Cook University in 2003 and has been involved with Mass Spectrometry ever since. Brad is based in Melbourne, Victoria and has worked for SCIEX for just over 14 years. He has been training people on and performing LC-MS development for over 18 years and in this time has supported many applications in many industries throughout the world but primarily in ANZ.
Namrata Saxena is a Technical Manager -Asia/Pacific with Phenomenex and is based in Sydney, Australia. She has a post graduate degree with a specialization in Analytical Chemistry from Jiwaji University, India. Namrata has extensive experience with analytical chemistry specially in the Liquid chromatography domain.

Before joining Phenomenex she was as a Product Specialist and spent several years in column chemistry, column manufacturing and method development in the application and manufacturing labs of Bischoff Chromatography, Germany.
Namrata has also gained research experience working in the Central Instrumentation Laboratory of India’s sole Pulp and Paper Research Organization.

In her present role as a Technical Specialist she provides technical assistance to customers globally, her current focus being on Omics and biologics product, application and troubleshooting support.
Jason Anspach received his B.S. in Chemistry from Binghamton University, The State University of New York and his Ph.D. from The State University of New York at Buffalo where he worked under the advisement of Luis A. Colón. His work there centered on improving column performance through novel column packing methods and the use of Sub 2 µm packing materials. He has continued that work since joining Phenomenex in 2005 and is now a Senior Scientist in charge of column packing development as well as the development of novel column hardware platforms.
Rajesh Babu possesses more than 11 years of chromatography experience and is an expert in practical HPLC/UHPLC/LC-MS/GC-MS method development and troubleshooting. Before joining Phenomenex, Dr. Rajesh worked as a Faculty member at Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, Deemed University. He was instrumental in establishing a state-of-the-art mass-spec core facility consisting of GC, HPLC, GC-MS, LC-MS/MS, and HRMS systems. His research work was in the area of clinical metabolomics.
