Getting Low With Sample Preparation:
How to Achieve Less Background Interference and
Lower Limits of Detection
by Matt Brusius, Sr. Global Product Manager for Sample Preparation,
Phenomenex
Date: April 14, 2021
Time: 10:00 SGT (UTC +8)/ 13:00 AEST (UTC +10)
Overview:
For clinical research applications, low-level analyte detection is required and when combined with a complex sample matrix, sample preparation becomes an important step before LC or GC analysis. This webinar will focus on how to develop an easy sample preparation method using solid supported liquid extraction (SLE) to achieve a fast clean-up solution from biological matrices. Utilizing SLE as a highly selective sample preparation technique provides a fast method with minimal method development and with advancement in SLE technology, it results with cleaner backgrounds, no interferences and more reproducibility between samples.
Who Should Attend:
Anyone doing LC-MS/MS and working with dirty samples who would like to learn a simple technique that helps remove interferences and reach lower detection limits.
After studying Biochemistry at the University of California Santa Barbara, Matt joined the Sample Preparation team at Phenomenex in 2010 where he supported the Forensic and Clinical Toxicology industries. He has since transitioned to the role of Sample Preparation Senior Product Manager where he directs new product development and oversees troubleshooting and application support for Phenomenex’s sample preparation portfolio.
