Overview
The increasing focus on ultrashort PFAS, particularly Trifluoroacetic Acid (TFA) and Difluoroacetic Acid (DFA), is creating new analytical challenges for laboratories worldwide. Reliable quantification at trace levels requires a holistic approach that combines regulatory awareness, robust sample preparation, contamination management, optimized chromatography, and sensitive detection.

In this webinar, Phenomenex experts will discuss key regulatory drivers, SPE sorbent selection, official PFAS methods, contamination control strategies and the role of delay columns in achieving reliable PFAS measurements.

SCIEX experts will present a complete workflow for TFA and DFA analysis demonstrating how advanced LC-MS/MS technology and workflow automation help laboratories achieve ultra-sensitive detection, high throughput, and confidence in TFA and DFA analysis across multiple matrices.
Key Learning Points
  • Understand the regulatory landscape and analytical challenges driving PFAS monitoring, with a focus on food, environmental, and emerging ultrashort-chain PFAS applications.
  • Implement robust PFAS workflows through optimized SPE sample preparation, appropriate column selection, and contamination management strategies, including the use of delay columns to improve analytical performance.
  • Improve data confidence and laboratory productivity by applying best practices for PFAS identification, quantification, and workflow standardization.
  • Address the growing challenge of TFA and DFA analysis using highly sensitive, automated LC-MS/MS workflows that deliver reliable results across multiple matrices with minimal hands-on time.
