PHENOWEBINARS

Alternative Method Parameters for PFAS Short Chain Detection
Speakers:
Sam Lodge
Senior Business Development Manager, Environmental
Luigi Margarucci, PhD
EMEA Seminar and Application Lead, Phenomenex

Luigi holds a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences and began his career at Phenomenex in 2015. He gained experience in the field of chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry while working as a researcher/fellow at the University of Salerno and collaborating with major reference centers for chromatography and mass spectrometry in Italy and Europe (Utrecht University - NL). To date, he is the author of 27 scientific publications and has written and presented a huge number of seminars on analytical techniques such as LC (LCMS), GC, and SPE.

Sam Lodge is the Phenomenex Senior Business Development Manager for the Environmental industry. He has been at Phenomenex for over 30 years in various positions, including Key Account Manager and Senior International Sales Manager, and is a product expert in SPE and HPLC chemistries. Over the past 8 years he has worked extensively with commercial and government labs in the development and support of PFAS analytical methods, including the validation of EPA 533, the MLV for DM 1633, and many internal (MOD) methods. Sam was instrumental in the collaborations that led to the development of several new SPE formats for PFAS, including several different Stacked Tubes and Pass Through GCB cartridges that can help commercial labs to increase productivity and reduce costs. In his spare time Sam enjoys fishing and surfing (but not at the same time!)

Overview
In this webinar, we will address the main LC-MS/MS solutions for the determination of short chain PFAS compounds alone or in combination with the analysis of medium- to long-chain PFAS. The webinar is aimed at everyone involved in the development of analytical methods for the analysis of PFAS, Ultra Short Chain PFAS, and TFA, with the goal of minimizing instrumental contamination from PFAS.
Key Learning Points
  • Walk through a PFAS chemistry overview
  • Review Short Chain PFAS and TFA: Contamination Management
  • Understand emerging analytical solutions
  • Learn how to combine Short chain PFAS and “conventional” PFAS
Who Should Attend
All scientists and researchers, interested in or currently conducting PFAS analysis
