Lucia Geis Asteggianteis a Senior Technical Specialist that has recently joined Phenomenex’s Global Technical Team. She has a broad experience in the field of Analytical Chemistry with a particular focus on LC chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry. Lucia comes from a strong academic and regulatory background with experiences ranging from method development and analysis of small molecules to large protein complexes. She gained her Ph.D. at the University of Maryland - College Park, USA and did her post-doctoral work at the University of Oxford, UK. During her time as a researcher, she has authored/co-authored 23 scientific publications and 2 book chapters.

Duilio Romanello earned his MSc in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology from the University of Bologna. He joined Phenomenex in 2008 as an Inside Technical Sales Consultant, later leading GC/SPE and Env/Food teams in Italy. Since 2016, he has been Account Manager for Southern Italy and GC Specialist. In 2023, he became Senior Technical Specialist for Phenomenex’s Technical team supporting scientists globally with method development, troubleshooting, and application support.

Koen Askamp is a Senior Technical Specialist in Phenomenex. He was awarded his BSc and MSc degrees in Molecular Life Sciences at Wageningen University in the Netherlands and joined Phenomenex in 2020 as Technical Sales Consultant. Koen became part of Phenomenex’s global technical support team in 2022 and assists laboratories in training chromatographers and developing analytical methods.

thira A S is a Senior Technical Specialist at Phenomenex, based in Bangalore, India. She holds B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Chemistry from Mahatma Gandhi University, India. In her current role, Athira provides technical support and application expertise across a wide range of chromatography and sample preparation solutions, with a focus on food and environmental analysis. She works closely with scientists and laboratory professionals throughout the APAC region to support method development, troubleshooting, and analytical workflow optimization.

Grace Guo graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a Master’s degree in Material Science and Engineering. She joined Phenomenex Technical Team in 2017 providing technical support globally. With more than 9 years of experience in SPE, HPLC and GC, she delivered 90+ seminars and webinars globally covering food and environmental, clinical, pharma and biopharma industry.

Zach Woodward is a Senior Technical Specialist with Phenomenex, Inc, assisting laboratories with method development in the bio-pharma, environmental, and food industries. Zachary spent his formative years developing HPLC and GC methods with a pharmaceutical lab in Albany, NY, after which he developed HPLC and SPE methods in a clinical setting here in Southern California. Zachary received his B.Sci. in Chemistry from the College of William and Mary, was awarded his Master’s in Chemistry at San Diego State University, and is happy to speak with you today!
