
Tim is a field applications scientist with Phenomenex specializing in clinical and forensic analysis and research. He works directly with new and existing Phenomenex customers to assist in developing new testing methods or improving existing methods for their specific analytical applications. Tim travels all over the country assisting customers in numerous industries such as clinical and forensic toxicology and chemistry, pharmaceutical toxicology, environmental research, clinical research, etc. Prior to working for Phenomenex, Tim worked as a Field Applications Scientist with Thermo Fisher Scientific. Before that, he worked for 20 years in forensic toxicology laboratories, starting off as a bench chemist, later moving into supervising the forensic toxicology unit. Tim started his forensic toxicology career at the Franklin County Coroner’s office in Columbus, OH where he worked for 7 years before moving out to Las Vegas and working as the forensic toxicology supervisor for the Henderson Police Department Forensic Laboratory for 13 years. Tim received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from Ohio State University and his master’s degree in forensic Toxicology from the University of Florida, and has been a board-certified toxicologist with the American Board of Forensic Toxicology since 2008. Tim has presented numerous research posters and given platform and workshop talks at numerous local, regional, and international forensic toxicology conferences over the past 20 years and looks forward to continuing this work in the future with Phenomenex.
